A Marketing Event in the Kipu CRM is any trackable marketing activity—such as a conference, webinar, or ad campaign—that can be linked to tracking numbers or website forms for seamless reporting.
Note: To create a Marketing Event, a campaign must already exist in the CRM.

Workflow 1: Creating Marketing Events Manually
After creating the marketing campaign, the marketing staff creates a Marketing Event to document their marketing efforts. For more information on creating marketing events, click here.
- Navigate to CRM Business Development Campaign & Marketing.
- Select an existing campaign.
- Click on Marketing Events in the Information Panel.
- Click Add to create a new event.
- Enter the Marketing Event Name (required).
- Complete the Start Date and End Date fields to improve reporting accuracy.
Super User Tip: Use the Visibility Controller (purple eye icon) to require Start Date and End Date fields for consistent data entry.
Workflow 2: Creating Marketing Events via Patient Record
If a Marketing Event is discovered during intake, it can be created directly from the treatment opportunity.
- Use the Global Search to find the patient.
- Open the Treatment Opportunities tab from the side panel.
- Select the treatment opportunity you want to update.
- In the Referred Through section, click Add Referred Through.
- Set the Type to Marketing Event.
- Select the appropriate Campaign Source and Marketing Event Source.
- Click Save.
- This will log the Marketing Event and associate it directly with the treatment opportunity.
