1. Alumni Processing

Alumni Processing allows facility staff to communicate and track discharged patients who wish to opt into alumni aftercare. The alumni processing feature is important as it offers ongoing counseling/support groups to help individuals maintain their recovery.

Key Terms

• Alumni Coordinator: Helps maintain relationships with former patients by offering post-treatment support, organizing alumni events, providing resources, and fostering a recovery community to aid their continued wellness.

Assigning an Alumni Care Coordinator

1. 1. Use the global search to access the patient record.
      
      

      Important: If you don't have the Kipu EMR, the admission staff must manually place the discharge date.

   2. Once you're in the patient record, select the alumni/aftercare coordinator from the drop-down list.
      

      Important: Super users should set up receipt of discharge data from EMR notifications on alumni coordinators' user profiles, so that they receive notifications.

   3. Once the alumni care coordinator has been set, select Save Changes.
