The Task feature in the Kipu CRM allows organizations to assign and track important to-dos assigned to users in the system.
Required Permissions
Users must have an active CRM account, and be assigned to a task team.
Task Type Breakdown
- Individual: Use the Individual task type when the task must be completed by each assigned user.
- Group: Use the Group task type when only one individual from the list of assignees needs to complete the action.
To perform any Task-related work, click on the Tasks widget on the Landing Page Dashboard.
Creating a Task
Important: Task Team Managers can edit other users' tasks.
- To create a task, select Create Task.
- Next, fill out the following key fields in the new task modal and Save Changes.
- Subject: Topic of the task
- Description: Document the action that must be completed

Requested Users: Specify the users that you would like to assign to complete the task
Important
Task Type, Facility, Due Date, and Choose Users from a Team are not required fields, however, users should fill in as many fields as possible.

Download to Calendar
To download an ICS attachment for this task to your calendar
- Apply a Due Date to the task
- Toggle on Download to Calendar
- Click Save Changes
Working Task
Once a task is created, you can begin recording progress.
- Select your assigned task record in the My Tasks area of the Tasks widget.
- Click Accept Task.
- You can also reject a task by clicking Reject Task.
- Select the Update Progress button to report on the status of your task.
- Use the progress slider to set the percentage that reflects the progress you have made toward the completion of the task, then click Save.
WYSIWYG Editor
The task will allow you to add comments using the WYSIWYG editor. You can tag other users in the comments regarding a task and leave reactions to comments that you may be working on with other colleagues.
- You can click + Add Comment to document status updates or other comments about the task.
- Enter your desired comment and select Save Changes.
- The comment will appear in the task overview.
Important
You can tag team members by typing the "@" symbol, and selecting the name of the team member you would like to add in the comments.
- Click the Complete Task button to mark the task as completed.
Quick Task Capabilities
You can create, view, update, and complete tasks from anywhere in the Kipu CRM by clicking on the Quick Task icon.
