How do I Perform a Hard Refresh On My Mac Computer?

Issue

A new update has been applied to the CRM and has not yet taken effect. How do I make the changes appear?

Environment

Kipu CRM, Roles: Admissions Worker, Combined (Admissions and BD), Combined +, Super User

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you'll need to perform a hard refresh, which is a way of clearing the browser’s cache, to force it to load the most recent version. Sometimes, when changes are made to the website, they don’t register immediately. Click here to learn how to clear your Cache.

1. There are two ways to prompt a hard reset:

   1. Hold down the ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift keys and then press R.

   2. Open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing fn and F12 together.

2. Once the Chrome dev tools are open, select the Network tab and check the Disable cache box.
3. Afterward, right-click on the Refresh button to access the drop-down menu. Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
