Referral Source Contact Merge Feature

The Referral Source Contact Merge feature enables CRM users to efficiently combine duplicate contact records, ensuring accurate and clean data management for referral sources in the system.

Requirements

Only users with one of the following roles can merge Referral Source Contacts:

  • Admission Worker
  • Combined +
  • Combined (Admissions and B.D.)
  • Super User
  • Business Development
  • Referral Source Management
  • Referral Source Management Plus
  • Business Development Plus

Important: If a third-party biller manages you, it is possible you will not see these roles available for your tenant. Please contact support for more assistance.

Merging Referral Source Contacts

For guidance on how to merge referral source contacts, please refer to the steps below.

  1. Using the Global Search bar, search for your desired Referral Source record.

  2. Select your desired referral source from the search results.

  3. Select the Referral Contacts section located on the left-side panel.

  4. Select the Action menu on the Referral Source contact record that you would like to designate as the Ghost.

  5. Select Toggle Ghost.

    Note: The Ghost record represents the duplicate RS contact that you would like to merge into the primary (Survivor) RS contact record.

  6. Next, select the context menu icon on the Referral Source contact record that you would like to designate as the Survivor.

  7. Select Toggle Survivor
  8. Select Merge.
  9. A contact merge confirmation prompt will appear. Select Yes.
  10. A toastr notification will appear on the top-right hand corner of the screen stating completion of the contact merge.

Important: The following data points from the ghost record will be merged into the survivor record: Contact Tags, Contact Phones, and Communication Logs.
