How To Create Patient Notes

In the Kipu CRM, users can document general notes in patient records to capture information.

Requirements

There must be a patient record created within the CRM. Only users with one of the following roles can document patient notes in the system:

    • Super User
    • RB Client Super User
    • RB Client Super User with User Management
    • KipuCRM Super User
    • Admission Worker
    • Combined +
    • Combined (Admissions and B.D.)
    • RB Client Combined Admissions and Bus Dev
    • Combined Admissions and Business Development
    • Limited Admissions Worker
    • Restricted Admissions Worker
    • VOB Worker
    • External 3rd Party VOB Worker
    • RB VOB Manager
    • RB VOB Agent
    • RB VOB Supervisor
    • Zealie VOB Agent
    • Alumni/Aftercare Worker

Creating Patient Notes

To create patient notes in the system, please refer to the steps below.

  1. Use the global search bar to access any desired patient record.

  2. Select Activities from the left-side panel.

  3. From the Patient Activities panel, select the context menu icon.  
  4. Select Add Patient Note.
  5. Enter your desired information. Once completed, select Save Changes.  
  6. The saved patient note can be found in the patient's Activity section.  

Managing Patient Notes

To edit, delete, or mark patient notes as important in the system, please follow the steps below.

  1. Use the global search to access any desired patient record.

  2. Select Activities from the left-side panel.

  3. Click the Patient Notes checkbox at the top of the Activity section.  
  4. Select the Context menu icon that corresponds to the patient note record you want to interact with.
  5. Select View. Important: Flagging a patient note as important will attach a red exclamation point indicator to the record for quick identification. 
  6. The Patient Note screen will appear. Apply any changes to the information present then select Save Changes.  
  7. Alternatively, if you would like to remove the patient note record from the patient's file, select Delete.
