Kipu BI: Phone VOB Analysis

The Phone VOB Analytics Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of the Verification of Benefits (VOB) process through phone interactions for both the VOB 1.0 & 2.0 applications. It offers key metrics and visualizations to help you monitor and analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of VOB requests.

Note: The data refresh process for BI analytics will occur every 5 hours.

Requirements

The user Profile must have access to VOB Analytics. 

Important: Please click here for guidance on obtaining access to Kipu BI reporting.

Accessing BI Report

  • Navigate to Analytics > Kipu BI > Phone VOB Analysis.

VOB 2.0 Tab

Filter Controls

The following filter controls are available for your use in the Phone VOB Analysis Dashboard.

    • VOB Status: Used to specify the status tied to the Phone VOB records. (Assigned, Closed Complete, Closed Incomplete, Disputed, Initiated, Needs Approval, New, and Waiting on Payor / Person)
    • Create Date: Used to specify the date in which the Phone VOB was requested in the system.
    • Facility: Used to specify the facility associated with the patient record linked to the Phone VOB record.
    • Reason: Used to specify the particular reason that has been tied to the Phone VOB when the status is set to either Closed Complete, Closed Incomplete, or Waiting on Payor / Person.
    • Time Zone: Designate a specific timezone for the system to adhere to for all date/time values presented in the dashboard.

Visualizations

  • Phone VOB's by Status: This widget shows the number of Phone VOBs created each day, categorized by their current status.

Note
Users can right-click on any of the bars to either drill down to an hourly view or drill up to see a weekly view.

  1. New: This widget displays the total number of Phone VOBs currently in a New status.
  2. Needs Approval: This widget displays the total number of Phone VOBs that are currently in a Needs Approval status.
  3. Initiated: This widget displays the total number of Phone VOBs that are currently in a Initiated status.
  4. Created Today: This widget displays the total number of Phone VOBs that were requested Today.
  5. Time Spent by Payor: This widget represents the average number of hours required to complete Phone VOB requests per payor. This metric is derived from the Time to Complete statistics recorded in VOB 2.0.
  6. Closed by Assigned To: This widget displays a breakdown of closed Phone VOBs categorized by the assigned team member.
  7. VOB's by Requestor: This widget represents the total # of Phone VOBs requested by each user in the system.
  8. Data Table: This table presents granular details relating to the Phone VOB data present in your Kipu CRM.

By visualizing both metrics together, it helps identify trends and correlations between task assignment efficiency and business activity, aiding in performance analysis and process improvement.
