Issue
I added a duplicate address for a patient/prospect record in CRM, and I would like to deactivate the duplicate address entry.
Environment
Kipu CRM, Roles: External 3rd Party VOB Worker, Admission Worker, Combined +, Combined (Admissions and B.D.), Super User, Limited Admissions Worker, VOB Worker, Restricted Admissions Worker, Alumni/Aftercare Worker, Patient Addresses
Important: If you are managed by a third-party biller, it is possible you will not see these roles available for your tenant. Contact support for more assistance.
Resolution
To deactivate a duplicate address in a patient's CRM record, please follow the guidance below.
-
Using the global search bar, search for the desired patient.
- Select the patient record from the search results presented.
- Click on the Address section in the left-side panel to go directly to the patient's address section.
- In the addresses section, select the duplicate address entry to open it for editing.
- Using the end date field, set your desired date for the address to be deactivated.
Important: To deactivate the address immediately, set the end date to the previous day.
- After choosing your desired end date, click Save Changes to record your updates.
- The address will now appear on the inactive addresses list for the patient record.
Important: Inactive Patient Addresses will not be transferred to the Kipu EMR.
