How Do I Deactivate a Patient Insurance Record?

I need guidance on how to deactivate Patient insurance records.

Environment

Kipu CRM, Feature: Patient Insurance Records

Only users with one of the following roles can deactivate patient insurance records.

  • External 3rd Party VOB Worker
  • Admission Worker
  • Combined +
  • Combined (Admissions and B.D.)
  • Super User
  • Limited Admissions Worker
  • VOB Worker
  • Restricted Admissions Worker
  • Alumni/Aftercare Worker

Important
If you are managed by a third-party biller, it is possible you will not see these roles available for your tenant. Please contact support for more assistance.

Resolution

For guidance on how to deactivate a patient's insurance record, please refer to the steps below.

  • Using the global search bar, search for your desired patient record.
  • Select your desired patient record from the search results.
  • Select the Insurance List section located on the left-side panel.
  • In the Insurance list, locate and click the row of the insurance you wish to deactivate to open the corresponding record.
  • Using the Termination Date field, input the date in which you would like the particular insurance record to deactivate.
  • Select Save Changes.
  • The insurance record has been successfully deactivated. Inactive insurance records will continue to be accessible in the Inactive view of the Insurance List.
