February 2025 Release Notes

February Sprint 2 (February 17 - February 28, 2025)

  • Customize Lists: A new option, “Custom,” has been added to the Referred Through Types list, allowing organizations to freely enter their desired referral information within the Treatment Opportunity for greater flexibility and customization.
  • Mass Update: The Call Queue Disposition mass update type has been enhanced to allow users to perform mass updates based on Caller Name and/or Caller Phone Number, providing greater flexibility in managing call records.
  • Patient Communication Logs: The Reason for Call dropdown list has been updated to include two new options: Resources and Psycho-Education, providing greater specificity in call documentation.
  • Patient Notifications: A new application, “Patient Notifications,” has been added under Admin > Preferences, allowing organizations to configure patient notifications within the system. Please note: This feature has not yet been activated, but the user interface has been developed in preparation for its upcoming rollout.
  • Transfer to EMR: The Transfer to EMR process has been updated to enhance the formatting of contact notes for referral source contacts, improving readability and appearance within the EMR facesheet.
  • VOB 2.0: The “Print” icon label on the VOB Focus Panel has been updated to “PDF” to eliminate any potential confusion and better reflect its functionality.

February Sprint 1 (February 1 - February 16, 2025)

  • Assessment OTU Links: The Assessment One-Time Use URLs feature has been updated to ensure that users can only access it after meeting the requirements outlined in the Company Logo area, located under Admin > Security. This includes uploading the company’s logo and accepting Kipu’s terms and conditions.

Important
A fixer will be run for all existing Kipu CRM accounts to ensure the Assessment OTU Link feature remains functional, preventing any service interruptions.

  • Assessment OTU Links: The Assessment One-Time Use URLs feature has been enhanced to support redline capabilities, ensuring that any fields marked as important will be visibly redlined for the patient as they complete the form.
  • Assessment OTU Links: The Assessment One-Time Use URL feature requirements have been updated to ensure that OTU links can only be sent to patient records where the “Ok to Send Email” toggle is set to “Yes.” This modification reinforces compliance with communication preferences and email permissions.
  • Campaigns & Marketing: The Marketing Event screen has been enhanced to allow users to record participants who attended events such as dinners or business conferences. This enhancement improves the tracking of marketing activities and supports more strategic allocation of funds for higher-impact events.
  • CRM Configurations: A new configuration option, “Automatically create treatment opportunity for new patient records,” has been added. This feature allows organizations to enable automated behavior, streamlining the creation of treatment opportunities whenever a new patient record is added to the system.
  • CRM Configurations: A new configuration option, “Default Ok to Email Patient Contact,” has been added, enabling organizations to automate the toggle that unlocks email communication capabilities for new patient contact records added to the system.
  • CRM Configurations: A new configuration option, “Default Email Marketing Opt-In - Patient,” has been added, allowing organizations to automate the toggle that controls whether patient records are sent to the third-party email marketing provider.
  • CRM Configurations: A new configuration option, “Default Email Marketing Opt-In – Patient Contacts,” has been added, allowing organizations to automate the toggle that determines whether patient contact records are sent to the third-party email marketing provider.
  • CRM Configurations: A new configuration option, “Default Email Marketing, Opts - Referral Source Contacts,” has been added, allowing organizations to automate the toggle that determines whether referral source contact records are sent to the third-party email marketing provider.
  • CRM to EMR Transfer: The Post to EMR process for Referral Source Contacts has been updated to always pass the “first_name,” “last_name,” and “full_name” fields. This ensures that the referral source’s name successfully populates on the EMR facesheet when the EMR instance has the “Enable Patient Contact Details” setting enabled.
  • Patient Activities: The Call Queue section within the Patient Activities panel has been enhanced to display the AI-generated transcript of associated call records linked to the patient record, providing users with greater insight into call interactions.
  • Patient Notes: The Patient Notes user interface (UI) has been updated to provide a more refined and visually improved experience for users.
  • Pipeline: The “Primary Insurance Category” column within the Pipeline grid has been renamed to “Primary Payer Type” to align with recent patient insurance field updates. This change ensures consistency in field labels across the Kipu ecosystem.
  • Referral Sources: The Associated Call Queue Records area within Referral Sources has been updated to allow users to view any notes linked to the call records, providing better visibility and context for each interaction.
  • Referral Sources: The Associated Call Queue Records area within Referral Sources has been enhanced to display AI-generated transcripts linked to the call records, offering users greater visibility into call interactions.  
  • SMTP Settings: The SMTP Settings area has been enhanced to allow users to remove their SMTP connection, supporting scenarios where organizations may need to disable its usage.
  • Treatment Opportunities: The dropdown field in the Insurance List Association area within Treatment Opportunities has been updated to display the insurance priority, ensuring clearer selection and improved alignment with patient insurance details.
  • Treatment Opportunities: The "Associate an Existing Assessment" dropdown field in the Assessments Association area within Treatment Opportunities has been updated to sort the latest assessment responses at the top of the list. This enhancement streamlines locating the most relevant forms and reduces unnecessary scrolling.
  • Treatment Opportunities: The “Add an Assessment to be Answered” dropdown field in the Assessments Association area within Treatment Opportunities has been updated to sort form templates in alphabetical order, streamlining the selection process for users.
