How Do I Record An Outbound Referral In The Kipu CRM?

Issue

I am not familiar with the proper steps on how to record an outbound referral in the Kipu CRM. I need this data to be present in the Outbound Referral Related Reporting in the system to support our organization's KPIs.

Environment

Product: Kipu CRM, Roles: Admissions Worker, Combined, Combined +, Limited Admissions Worker, Superuser, Alumni/Aftercare worker, Restricted Admissions Worker, Area: Treatment Opportunities

Resolution

To properly document an outbound referral in the Kipu CRM, please refer to the steps outlined below.

  • Utilize the global search bar to search for your desired patient in the CRM.
  • Select your desired patient from the search results.
  • Select Treatment Opportunities on the left side panel in the patient profile.
  • Select your desired Treatment Opportunity.
  • In the Treatment Opportunity, update the Opportunity Status accordingly to best justify the end result of the opportunity.
  • Next, scroll down to the decision area.
  • Using the Facility Accepts toggle, select No.

Important
The facility accepts toggle may be automatically set to No depending on the opportunity status set on the record.

  • Navigate to the Outbound Referrals section.
  • Select Add Referral.
  • Search for and choose a Referral Source.
  • Choose a Referral Date after selecting the Calendar Icon.
  • Select Add.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page to Save Changes.

You have now successfully recorded an outbound referral in the Kipu CRM.
